Yes, we require a list of email addresses receiving the Port Sign-Out and Sign-in details. Passage Plan would need a regularly updated list of your members’ names and their yacht names, or the skipper can manually capture these details.

You can nominate office beares (Saftey Officer, Club Secretary etc) and they will be notified of the vessels movements via email.
There are no costs involved; the system is self-funded through valued Sponsorships and a Local Business Directory offering services to sailors and encouraging safety at sea.

Yes it is possible to extend your visa whilst in South Africa
You will need to fill in a Passage Plan any time you are sailing from one of the commercial ports along the South African Coastline. The Ports are Richards Bay, Durban, East London, Port Elizabeth, Mossel Bay, Cape Town and Saldana Bay.
We encourage you to fill in the passage plans from all ports, as the benefits are numerous. Safety being the paramount, one should we need to assist you in any way. By filling in the form we can share your information with the NSRI, thus saving time for their response time to activate a rescue.
Additionally your destination Port, Club or Marina will be notified of your pending arrival.
The day trip log has been designed to allow skippers to fill out a day trip log from the respective Clubs or Marinas they are sailing from.
They are customised for the specific Club requirements, as well as to satisfy the SAMSA requirements for logging your trip out to Sea.
The shortened passage plan has been designed to assist when sailing a short passage of less than 24 hours or 60 nm.
An example would be from SBYC to RCYC or FBYC to V&A at the waterfront.
The local ports are still advised of your pending trip and are made aware of your arrival.
